# Alpine retreat demo image credits

These photographs are used as editorial illustrations for a fictional Alpine retreat. They do not depict one property, and the room names in the demo are fictional.

All eleven source pages identify the photographs as free to use under the [Unsplash License](https://unsplash.com/license). The downloaded images were resized and converted to WebP for web delivery; no generative edits were made. The five `day-` photographs are dedicated to the morning, afternoon and evening scene; their responsive crops keep the lake, walking path and fireplace in view.

The source page identifies the clip as an MP4 from Giau Pass, Italy, at 3840 × 2160 and 25 fps, and marks it free for use under the Pixabay Content License. Pixabay permits free use, modification, and use without attribution, subject to its prohibited uses. Attribution is included here as a courtesy.

The website assets are 10-second derivatives trimmed from the source and stripped of audio and ancillary streams. `journey.mp4` is a 1920 × 1080 H.264 Main Profile Level 4.0 encode. `journey.webm` is a 1280 × 720 VP9 Profile 0 fallback for Chromium builds without H.264 support. Both use frequent keyframes for scroll-controlled playback. `journey-poster.webp` is a still frame extracted from the derivative.

The VP9 fallback was verified in Playwright Chromium through the Next.js development server: it reached `readyState >= 2`, reported no media error, exposed a seekable byte range, and successfully sought to 5 seconds.
